If you saw a thrush you probably would be able to tell the difference from this. I know i would.

Mistle Thrush and Song Thrush differences in flight
I did promise you I would show you the difference between the Mistle Thrush and Song Thrush in flight, so here it is. I didn't have a clear example I could take and adapt from a book, so I ended up having to draw them myself. Surprisingly this took me 3 hours to draw, it's not a great drawing, but you can tell them apart by the colours.

Well done with the drawings they look great, and really useful.
I did go to Old moor for the Firecrests (from my Blog) on the Saturday, i know it was quite a lot of mileage for the day trip, but i've been waiting to go see those ones for ages.
Goldcrests are 9 cm, and Firecrests are 9-10 cm. Are you going to draw these two?

I'll have a go, it will be useful. I also may do an ID chart for the lesser and greater woodpecker. Maybe warblers as well, because they are really hard to tell apart.
